No one's skin is perfect. Everyone has their flaws. If hormonal acne, fine lines, or dry skin are issues for you, then this face mask is something you might like to try.

White tea is both high in antioxidants and antibacterial... as are the honey and ginger. Antioxidants, when applied topically to skin, fight sun damage, encourage cell turnover and contribute to the production of collagen. The antibacterial elements to the white tea, honey, & ginger defend against acne. Honey,  in addition to being high in antioxidants and antibacterial, is also a humectant. Humectants draw moisture from the air and create a suppleness to skin. When ginger is applied topically to skin it creates a gentle warming sensation whereby increasing circulation, and contributing to a pleasing rosy flush.

Recipe:
  • 1 tablespoon white tea
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon powdered ginger

Mix all ingredients together then gently massage the mixture onto face and neck with either clean fingertips or a clean cosmetic brush. Leave the mask on for 20 minutes, then rinse off with cool water.

Warning! You will look like a swamp creature while wearing this mask. ; )

Sakthivel,

Hello. Thank you for your question.

My first thought is dark lips can be very naturally beautiful. I'd first suggest trying to love your lips as they are. We are each our own worst critic. However, if you would like to lighten them, you might like to try a paste of turmeric powder and lime juice. Mix equal portions of both turmeric and lime juice until a nice paste forms. Apply this paste to your lips in 30 min periods several times per week until you achieve a lightening effect.

To create a pink color in your lips, I suggest using beets. You may either dehydrate sliced beet root or make a beet juice reduction to apply to your lips. I will soon do a full post on this subject to further explain the process to you and any other person who is interested. In fact, this will be the next post I create. Hang tight for the detailed information, Sakthivel!

Also, I will make a point of creating a detailed post on natural skin lighteners in the very near future.

Hope this helped for now!
Have a wonderful day,
Stephanie
